About Oluko
Oluko is a word from the Yoruba language that means "coach" or "teacher".
We chose this name because it embodies our mission: connecting passionate athletes with dedicated coaches who guide, inspire, and transform lives through sports. Just as the word carries deep cultural significance in teaching and mentorship, we believe in the power of coaching to unlock potential and build champions.
Oluko is currently non-operational as we navigate the lasting impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The global health crisis significantly affected our coaching community, with many coaches becoming unavailable due to health concerns, facility closures, and shifting priorities during lockdowns.
The pandemic fundamentally changed how athletes and coaches interact, with in-person training sessions becoming challenging or impossible in many regions. As we work toward rebuilding our platform and community, we remain committed to our mission of connecting athletes with exceptional coaches. We appreciate your patience and continued interest in Oluko.

We want to be transparent with our community: Oluko is currently non-operational following the significant disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The pandemic created unprecedented challenges for our coaching network. Many of our dedicated coaches faced health concerns, facility closures, and restrictions on in-person training that made it impossible to continue offering services. Additionally, the shift in how athletes train and the economic impact on sports programs nationwide affected both supply and demand for coaching services.
While we are not currently accepting new bookings or coach applications, we remain passionate about our mission to connect athletes with exceptional coaches. We are exploring ways to rebuild and adapt our platform to better serve the post-pandemic sports coaching landscape.
